Professional Experience

Ms. Anderson is an attorney licensed in Wisconsin, and is certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC). She has worked with a variety of healthcare organizations including hospitals, healthcare companies, and federally qualified community health centers.

Ms. Anderson works with Strategic Management’s clients to review, develop, implement, manage, and analyze gaps with respect to compliance and HIPAA privacy programs. She also assists in drafting and revising compliance and HIPAA policies and procedures, and drafts various regulatory analyses on Medicare and Medicaid regulations and coverage determinations to support the firm’s Independent Review Organization (IRO) engagements.

Ms. Anderson supports Strategic Management’s senior consultants by conducting research and drafting briefs and memoranda pertaining to various aspects of health care, including the False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, Affordable Care Act, the HIPAA Privacy, Security, and Breach Notification Rules, and state health care laws and regulations.

Previous Work Experience

Prior to joining Strategic Management, Ms. Anderson worked as a Compliance Officer at the Sixteenth Street Community Health Center located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her work consisted of developing compliance training materials, providing assistance with compliance training sessions, and reviewing contracts, policies, and procedures.

Ms. Anderson previously worked as an associate attorney with Piper & Schmidt, S.C. (now Piper, Schmidt & Wirth, S.C.), where she worked on health insurance subrogation claims and coverage issues and at Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek, S.C. (now Husch Blackwell, LLP), where she worked on civil litigation cases involving private and government-run medical facilities and developed guidance materials for hospital systems.

Ms. Anderson obtained her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where she served as the Senior Submissions Editor of the Wisconsin Women’s Law Journal. She received her undergraduate degree in Religion and Politics & Government from Ripon College.
