Jillian Bower Concepcion is a highly experienced compliance consultant, having provided advisory services to clients in the development, evaluation, and improvement of compliance programs. Ms. Concepcion has experience working with a variety of health care organizations, including health systems, physician practices, third-party billing companies, and managed care organizations. Ms. Concepcion works with organizations to implement CIA requirements, including development of the CIA implementation report, general and specific compliance training, policies and procedures and sanction screening process. She also leads client engagements involving compliance program development, implementation, evaluation, and remedial action to correct deficiencies.
Ms. Concepcion conducts ongoing policy and regulatory research and analysis in various health care related areas, including Medicare and Medicaid program rules and regulations, billing and coding requirements, HIPAA, False Claims Act, ACA and corporate compliance. Using the information gained through her research and analysis, Ms. Bower assists organizations in meeting current regulatory standards by conducting and reviewing compliance program activities. She applies current legal and regulatory standards in the development, reviewing, and updating corporate compliance codes of conduct, policies and procedures and implementation of best practices. She develops specialized compliance education and training programs consistent with current regulatory and legal standards, including HIPAA, False Claims Act, program integrity, arrangements with referrals sources, conducting investigations, CIA requirements, etc. She conducts training on compliance program related topics, as well as develops the means to evaluate the training’s effectiveness. She has extensive experience in conducting HIPAA Privacy and Security assessments for clients to ensure adherence to federal regulations. She leads research and analysis in the application of CMS regulations, carrier manual instructions and guidance. She conducts similar reviews and analysis of the DoD TriCare and Department of Veterans Affairs regulations. Ms. Concepcion has specific expertise in provider compliance as it relates to requirements issued by HHS OIG and CMS, including the development and implementation of polices, sanction screening processes and compliance hotline programs.
Ms. Concepcion is also responsible for business development and marketing of Strategic Management’s Compliance Resource Center. CRC is a leading compliance solutions vendor providing employee hotlines, sanction screening services, training programs, compliance surveys, and policy and compliance documents.
