OIG Makes Self-Disclosure Protocol Available Online
On July 8, 2913, the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) launched the online submission process for the Provider Self-Disclosure Protocol (SDP). The online SDP allows individuals or entities to voluntarily disclose self-discovered potential fraud. In the revised SDP, the OIG stated that providers who self-disclose “deserve” to pay lower penalties than those who fail to disclose.
